Experience the desert at its most mystical and tranquil time at sunrise. See the wildlife and enjoy a morning picnic to start your day.

After pick-up from Dubai, you'll travel in a Land Cruiser on a dune drive to watch the desert come alive. Watch the protected indigenous wildlife in their natural habitats in the early hours of the morning such as the Desert Gazelle and the Arabian Oryx.

There will then be a short drive to the Al Qudra Lakes which is part of the Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve. Across the series of lakes at Al Qudra, you'll enjoy a breakfast picnic or leisurely ride. There will be Arabic coffee, dates and refreshments for you too on this tour!

  • Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months. Good quality sunglasses and hats are advisable
  • Please wear sports shoes for safe sandboarding
  • A vegetarian option is available for the picnic lunch. Please advise at the time of booking if required
  • Guests visiting the UAE during the summer months (June-September) are advised that peak daytime temperatures sometimes reach 42-45°C and humidity levels can also exceed 90% during this period so we recommend all guests to take adequate precautions

    Fantastic experience from pick up to drop off. Our guide was friendly, fun and informative. Saw lots of desert wildlife and learned so much about the animals. We felt that we were in safe and experienced hands. The dunes drive was brilliant. Lovely Arabian Coffee and Dates at sunrise and then a breakfast to finish. Very highly recommend this experience.

    Mustafa our guide collected us from our hotel at the time advised, a drive out to the desert, tyres deflated a touch and then into the desert ready for the sunrise. It was a once in a lifetime experience seeing the sunrise over the dunes. Lots of photos and some sand boarding then off powering through the dunes in the Land Cruiser!! A picnic and flamingo watching at the end. Thank you!

    Great fun on the dunes in the 4x4 sandboarding was brilliant the breakfast was lovely all in the slightly cooler early morning air and as a bonus the flamingo lakes on the return all n all worth every penny. The guide was very informative and experienced. A highly recommended trip
