Your adventure begins early in Rome where you'll board a comfortable private mini bus to make the most of your time in Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. You'll slip into into the ancient ruins of Pompeii just as they're opening the gates to visitors for the day. Alongside your expert archaeologist guide, you and your small group of 18 people maximum will explore this once-thriving Roman city, perfectly preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. You’ll walk the same streets that Romans once did in silence before the daytime crowds arrive, peeking into shops, temples, and even a brothel—each frozen in time. After your Pompeii adventure, you’ll hop back on the bus for a scenic drive along the Amalfi Coast, widely regarded as one of the world’s most spectacular stretches of coastline, straight to Positano (April through October). Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking vistas of turquoise seas, towering cliffs, and colorful villages that cling to the hillsides.
