Musée de l’Orangerie on impressionistinen taidemuseo Pariisin keskustassa, Tuileriesin puutarhassa.
Museon nimi juontaa juurensa sen aiemmasta käyttötarkoituksesta, kun se toimi kasvihuoneena appelsiinipuille. Silloisen muodin mukaisesti 1600-1700 -luvun asunnoissa tuli olla appelsiini- ja sitruspuita, ja kasvihuoneet mahdollistivat kasvien pitämisen myös vaihtelevissa sääolosuhteissa. Puut olivat vaurauden ja arvovallan symboleja.

“Cétait une tres argreable experience!”
“Nearly no queuing to get in at 10:30 with/without ticket, no issues that it was untimed. But lots of people already inside, so bit noisy & quite a wait to sit down & contemplate. Hard to get a clear view but paintings truly wonderful - in Oct best seen after Giverny as the waterlilies are over.”
